Zion Lutheran Church is proud to support the Williamsport Food Bank through ongoing food collection, financial assistance, and seasonal outreach projects. We are one of several churches in the Williamsport Area Ministerium actively involved in this vital local ministry.
Every Christmas, Zion and fellow churches in the Ministerium provide turkeys and holiday food boxes to families served by the Food Bank.
Each fall, the Williamsport Area Ministerium sponsors the Harvest Hoedown, typically held the first weekend in October at Byron Memorial Park. The event features:
Pumpkin painting
Local vendors & crafts
Bake sales
Canned food collection
All proceeds directly support the Williamsport Food Bank.
You can support the Food Bank by:
Donating requested food items
Volunteering your time
Attending and supporting fundraising events like the Harvest Hoedown
Praying for the families served
